Mis Aligned Productivity influences
Most Leaders and Managers ( Immediate of skip level superiors) think that productivity of any employee is most influenced by fear, reprimand and some what rewarding policies (incentives and awards )
while they have their impact but they are not sustainable and certainly come with lot of stress and dis- ease and at the cost of dilution of human empathy and unconsciously raising meanness and opportunistic attitude .
Spiritual science and ayurveda has already proven long back the fundamentals of happiness, fulfilment and health but we accept those on paper and conduct our life in opposite or contradicting manners for reason unknown to mankind
I guess self destruction comes easily and naturally to human beings than self development.
Similarly fundamentals of productivity are also proven by psychology and behavioral science but in same manner here to leaders and managers accept on paper and vocally admit but in practice do the exact opposite that is detrimental to influence productivity.
Knowledge skills and Attitude of any employee in any role is fundamental and are longing lasting sustainable parameters in influencing productivity and at times our needs and fear of loosing resources may influence but still they lack in extracting the free flowing natural exponential capabilities of any individual and though may look superior are still limited extractors of infinite potential of any employee.
On paper organisation do acknowledge and some invest in infrastructure for training and development but in practice their hearts are not convinced and hence they fail to put the efforts to sincerely implement and monitor the impact of developing skills and attitudes of their employees.
Exceptions may be there in the corporate world
But they only prove the normal practice .
Consistency is the feature of a machine
Human beings are consistently inconsistent in their behaviors unless anchored with purpose and goals
After anchoring too there remains gap in the skills sets, knowledge and attitudes to perform adequately their duties and it requires an consistent dedicated committed effort to develop from both the individual and the organisation in an corporate culture . When u refer organisation I mostly refer to managers superiors leaders and HR personnel.
Human beings are naturally productive but only twist is that they are infinitely capable and hence direction nurturing a specific capability is needed
It takes time for developing it as we all have our fixed programmed minds from our childhood
But given time commitment and encouragement nothing can stop prevent any human being to contribute in any role above its expectations
We can become what we are feed our body and mind and infinite kind of food and thoughts are available for our consumption but whatever we have aligned ourselves in consuming we naturally and easily filter identify and consume even if it is detrimental to us in short term or longterm
This also demonstrates our power to continue doing something that is self destructive if we are aligned to something without realising its impact on our well being.
The same power can become a force of productivity if aligned in uplifting our well being
